Lover’s Knoll Sedona Arizona Elopement

I am so beyond honored to have been able to document so many beautiful love stories. Over here at By Kristen Marie we are inclusive to all races, and gender identities and believe that love is love no matter what. Today’s story and celebration surround Francesca and Alexis’ Lover’s Knoll Sedona Arizona Elopement. From the moment I stepped foot in their Airbnb on this beautiful day, their love for one another was radiating. These two love each other will all of their might, and it was a day I was so grateful to capture.

Francesca & Alexis’ Love Story

Francesca and Alexis met back when they were working at a pizzeria together. Prior to being ~together~, they were friends for about 5 years. It was then that they soon realized that their friendship was so much more and the rest became history. Through becoming close through friendship and now turned lovers, these two united as one. Sharing their lives together, and even caring for two fur babies. Their cats, Clark and Poppy.

After building their life together, Alexis knew it was time to take the next step. Alexis made a book of polaroids of the two of them over the years. In the end, it said, “Will you marry me?”. Alexis popped the question to Francesca at a music festival and here we are today.

Francesca & Alexis’s Lover’s Knoll Sedona Arizona Elopement

For Francesca and Alexis, the idea of having a traditional wedding never clicked with them. It was never something they felt inclined to pursue and after exploring the idea of eloping, they knew it felt right to them. Lovers of nature and wanting to cater towards breaking tradition, we ventured off to their Sedona Arizona elopement at Lover’s Knoll.

It was a beautiful day here in Sedona, Arizona. Francesca and Alexis had rented an Airbnb and spent the morning getting ready, together. Even doing each other’s makeup, focusing on every detail. A small and intimate moment that many seem to overlook, but can be incredibly powerful. If you’re looking to stray away from tradition, a simple morning getting ready with each other can do the trick. They got dressed and then came together for a sweet and intimate first-look moment. One that I got to capture might I say *wink*.

Lover’s Knoll Sedona Elopement Wedding Ceremony

Lover’s Knoll is one of the most beautiful elopement locations in Sedona, Arizona. It’s an easy-to-access viewpoint with stunning views of the Sedona Landscape. Here you can see views of Cathedral Rock, Courthouse Butte, and other well-known Sedona landmarks. Because of its well-known beauty, along with the help of my trusty location guide that I give to all my couples, Lover’s Knoll was the perfect ceremony location. It was here with all of their close friends and family in a sweet and intimate Arizona elopement, that Francesca and Alexis made this next step in their journey together.

Wedding Portraits at Merry Go Round Rock

Shortly after celebrating the HECK out of their marriage, we hopped in their rented Jeep to go to Merry Go Round Rock for some more wedding portraits. Merry Go Round Rock is perfect for sunset portraits and will give you some of the most epic and stunning views in Sedona. If you don’t believe me though, go check it out for yourself!

Intimate Wedding Reception at Sedona Airbnb

We then made our way back to the Airbnb where we enjoyed a delectable wedding reception dinner catered by Creekside Catering. Followed by cake cutting and a sweet first dance moment between the newlyweds. No better way to spend my days and forever grateful that Francesca and Alexis gave me this opportunity to capture their stunning selves.
