Not many people are willing to wake up at 3am, get their hair and makeup done before dawn, drive to the location in the dark, and do a shoot in 28ºF weather.
For many people, it’s not worth it. BEING COMFORTABLE is more important than avoiding the crowds, watching the sun rise, and gaining unforgettable memories.
I’m the photographer for the couples who don’t shy from cold weather, early mornings, and EMBRACE THEIR INNER BADASS.
It’s ok to stay in your comfort zone! BUT. In 5, 10, 50 years, you’ll look back and realize all your memories are the same. Nothing will stand out, because every experience was kept within the boundaries of what you already knew.
At the end of your life, if you want your memories to be full of meaning and adventure… try something new. Go out and explore, even if you have to go alone. Brave the cold air.
Disclaimer: this shoot was very short!! BECAUSE IT WAS FREEZING! Adventures don’t have to be 100% miserable. We braved the cold for about an hour (including many a jacket break and hand warmers stuffed everywhere), and then warmed ourselves up with crepes from the coziest cafe in Page, AZ, Canyon Crepes Cafe.
