Dunton Hot Springs is one of the most unique and intimate wedding venues in Colorado. Deep in the San Juan Mountains near Telluride, restored log cabins, open meadows, mountain views in every direction, and natural hot springs create a property where guests can soak and fully experience the weekend together. It feels less like a traditional venue and more like your own private mountain retreat.
Lily and Arden’s Dunton Hot Springs wedding felt relaxed and intentional, centering every moment around time with the people who mattered most.

One of the best parts about a Dunton Hot Springs wedding is that everyone stays on the property. There’s no driving between locations or worrying about timelines falling apart.

Lily and Arden got ready in separate cabins with their closest friends and family nearby. The cabins are beautiful inside, with tons of natural light and plenty of space to move around comfortably.
The entire morning felt calm and easy.

The ceremony took place outdoors, facing an open meadow filled with wildflowers and grazing horses, with the San Juan Mountains rising beyond. Guests were seated outside as the couple exchanged vows in the open air.

Dunton Hot Springs creates a naturally intimate environment. With the entire property reserved, it truly feels private and personal.

After the ceremony, we stayed nearby for family and group photos. One of the advantages of a Dunton Hot Springs wedding is that everything you need is within walking distance.
The cabins, open field, and mountain backdrop all provide great locations without needing to travel anywhere.
This makes the day flow smoothly and keeps everyone relaxed.
After family photos, we explored more of the property for couples portraits. Dunton has a great mix of open mountain views and quiet, more private areas.
Because there’s no pressure to rush between locations, couples can actually enjoy this time together.

These moments are often some of the most meaningful parts of the day.
After the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour just outside the saloon. With everything located on the Dunton Hot Springs property, there was no need to travel anywhere — everyone could simply relax and enjoy the moment. Drinks were served while guests mingled, hugged, and took in the mountain views. Cocktail hour at a Dunton Hot Springs wedding feels easy and connected, giving everyone time to settle into the celebration before dinner began.

Dinner was held outside as the sun began to set behind the mountains. Guests gathered together at long tables to eat and celebrate.

Dunton Hot Springs is known for its incredible food and overall guest experience. Everything is thoughtfully done, and it shows.

Next, toasts took place outside during dinner, with everyone gathered together at long tables in the open air. One of the most memorable moments came when the groom’s aunt and uncle, who had traveled from Denmark, surprised everyone with a song they had written to the tune of Hey Jude. Guests laughed, sang along, and celebrated the couple in a way that felt personal and unforgettable.

After dinner, everyone moved inside the historic saloon for dancing. The space has so much character and creates a really fun atmosphere once the music starts.

It was the perfect way to end the night.

A Dunton Hot Springs wedding is unlike anywhere else. Tucked deep in the San Juan Mountains about an hour from Telluride, the entire property feels completely removed from the outside world.
Guests stay in restored log cabins, spend their mornings and nights soaking in the natural hot springs, and have endless access to hiking and mountain bike trails right outside their door. Because you can reserve the entire venue, it becomes your own private mountain town for the weekend.
Nothing feels rushed. Nothing feels shared with anyone else. It’s quiet, intentional, and deeply memorable. There’s a reason couples travel from all over the world to get married here — even Lily Collins chose Dunton Hot Springs for her wedding.
